This was inspired by the American Frontier, in particular, the shift in women’s “fashion”. Pioneering a new life came with many hardships and tasks. Women’s clothing became less ornate and more practical; hems were shortened, boots and aprons became staples.

 

Life was rather difficult during this time, however, the idea was to portray those pockets of carefree moments where a curious and free-spirited girl may have experienced, embracing her surroundings and the new beginnings...
