Taipei marked a lot of "firsts" for me. First time traveling overseas, first time traveling to Asia, and, first time traveling solo. It was scary but liberating, especially being in a country where English isn't the first language. Even so, I had it easy. I reunited with some old friends and met new ones who were so welcoming and graciously helped made this trip memorable in many ways. And of course, I cannot end this note without mentioning the impeccable food.
